We’ve had a very active and fruitful first year in the Glebe Community Garden!
Our gardening sessions here started in August 2025, so this month we’ve been able to celebrate a full circle of seasons, rounded off with a harvest celebration in the garden last week.
We’re delighted to collaborate further with One Seed Forward, who are an amazingly generous local community growing initiative, doing lots to support skill development and seed sharing around Moray and Aberdeenshire.
Kelly from OSF brought lots of seasonal seeds to share, as well as her wealth of knowledge to help answer a host of composting conundrums!
We hosted another event organised through OSF earlier this summer, where we welcomed over 45 visitors into the garden as part of the first ever Moray Community Gardening Festival. We’ve hugely appreciated teaming up with lots of other community groups and organisations in various ways over our time so far, including Keith Community Radio, Keith Library, Keith Grammar School, St Thomas’ RC Primary School, Keith North Church, Gordon Castle Gardens, the Aberlour Glebe Garden and more. Many thanks to you all for supporting us in the spirit of community!
Over the summer, we’ve been gathering community feedback about how we can develop the Glebe Community Garden to reflect the people who want to enjoy it, and have been inviting locals to let us know how best we can support this through a short Public Consultation Survey.
