This course will help you figure out how much food is really going to waste in your home and what you can do to waste less. By making small shifts in how you shop, prepare, and store food, you can save time and money and use the valuable resources used in the course to stop food from going to waste!

- Learn to grow nutrient dense micro-leaves and sprouts all year round
- Take some home – up-cycled materials and grow in the comfort of your own kitchen
- Sow and take home tender veg seeds to start off inside
This FREE workshop is lead by experienced Permaculture instructor Jonny Barton, booking is essential.
The morning indoor session will start at 10am in the Ash Room in Elgin Community Centre, Trinity Road, Elgin IV30 1UE with a visit to the nearby Maryhill Community Gardens (behind Maryhill Medical Practice, about a 15 minute walk) after lunch. At Maryhill Community Gardens we will have a hands on session.
Permaculture is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive systems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. It is the harmonious integration of the landscape with people providing their food, energy, shelter and other material and non-material needs in a sustainable way.
Refreshments provided, please bring a packed lunch.
Please wear suitable clothes and footwear and a notepad and pencil to take down any notes.

Join us for our free outdoor workshop and learn everything you need to know about composting! How to turn your kitchen and garden waste into rich nourishing compost for your garden at REAP’s Kiosk at Cooper Park, Elgin.

During the workshop we will maintain physical distancing at all times and are following ‘Scot Gov’ COVID safe guidance and practice. We will have hand washing facilities and hand sanitiser stations available.
